The Beer Dads and The Less Desirables Collide
Paul, Jon and Tim sat in on The Less Desirables podcast to just hang out, talk some pop culture and drink some beer. Well, Tim was already there because he produces The Less Desirables, as well. The guest that night for The Less Desirables was Tamara Vander Lugt who has a marketing company called Adroit Business Consulting and she talks about the Piedmont Club and a band she manages called Breaking Season. You won’t hear The Beer Dads intro or outro but we’re certainly on and having a good time!
If you’re not familiar with The Less Desirables, you’re in for a treat. The gang talks about movies, music and sports. They have three other features that have to do with pop culture and the area: Caitlin’s Bowl o’Stuffs, Bruce’s Top-Ish and “As Ardmore Turns.” Caitlin Weaver is the President of the Winston-Salem Jaycees and talks about a lot of their happenings and why you should be involved. Bruce Cole is a career-long radio personality who spent much of his career on the air in Chicago; his Top-Ish lets you know some of the things that happened or are happening this week that you may have missed. And “As Ardmore Turns” is the almost true-to-life soap opera that practically writes itself and is about the (not-so-sleepy) bedroom community of, you guessed it, Ardmore in Winston-Salem.
And who can forget one of the most important elements of The Less Desirables, and of The Beer Dads, for that matter: BEER!? The beer of the week was Pataskala Red X IPA from Stone Brewing Company.
