Show 221 — Follow the Green
The Cleveland Indians are changing their name after this season, a name they’ve had for over a hundred years. Last year, the Washington Football Team dropped their publicly-denoted, offensive name after many years of people calling for it. Where does it go next? Do the Braves change their name? How about the Chiefs, Blackhawks, and Warriors? The Dads agreed that one thing drives these changes. Not the public outcry. But, greenbacks, legal green tender, cold-hard-cash. Money. University of Texas and Oklahoma University have both asked to move from the Big 12 to become part of the SEC. The Big 12 was a big deal a few years ago and it isn’t so much now. Bezos to space, the Olympics, and more. How does money affect how you do things? Or, does it?
